PRESS RELEASE “Count It All Joy” If you live in this world, there’s no doubt that you have experienced or you will at some point in your life go through hardship, difficulties and trouble. It’s not easy to see the blessing and benefit of the storm while you’re in the midst of it. But, believe it or not, you really can count it all JOY! Standing on James 1:2-4, Contemporary Christian artist, Meka King uses her debut CD to share this poignant message and her testimony. “Count It All Joy,” is meant to encourage and inspire God’s people to worship, love and trust Him, even when things are rough. “God will never fail us, but when we’re going through we just need to be reminded. There is a reason for our adversity. It’s not just arbitrary,” Meka shares. The Word tells us to count it all joy when we face various trials and hardships, because the testing of our faith develops perseverance. And that perseverance has a work it must finish in you so that you are mature and complete, lacking nothing. “I know that sounds absolutely crazy,” Meka says. “Lord you expect me to celebrate when I’m hurting and I feel like my world has been turned upside down? But I realized that this scripture is not telling us to be happy about our trouble. It’s telling us to have hope and be of good courage, because something great awaits us once we make it through. He’s purifying us during our trials so that when we emerge we are like gold- strong and valuable, precious and pure.” Romans 8:18 tells us that “our present sufferings are not worth comparing to the glory that shall be revealed in us.” Meka says that’s what she learned to celebrate. “I had to change my perspective. I had to say, yes it’s hard now, but wow, it’s all gonna be worth it in the end. He’s doing something in me that is preparing me for where I’m going. And when I get there, it’s gonna be nice!” A true lover of the presence of the Lord, Meka says she discovered that worship lead her to joy in darkness. “In His presence is fullness of joy. And there’s no place that I’d rather be, especially when I can’t handle this thing called life. We all have moments that rock our world, things that shake us. There was a point in my life when I didn’t want to go on. My Grandparents both died suddenly within 6 months of each other, people that I loved continuously hurt me and broke my heart, I could not find a purpose for my life or a reason to live. It was dark. But when I worshipped, I found love, hope, and purpose. And when I got through I was stronger, better and closer to my destiny. This is why I can tell others to COUNT IT ALL JOY!” Meka King is currently available for bookings and appearances.
